Looks good, right?
(Guest Author Greg Pappas) I busted out my french press for the first time in a good while, and I just made the smoothest cup of coffee. How?
Simple. Just read the directions below and you’ll have one smooth cup of delicious coffee.
- 3 tablespoons of grounded coffee (This is the perfect amount for my 3 cup french press. Adjust accordingly)
- Boil filtered water around 190 degrees (I have an electric kettle with a thermostat. Get one. I recommend it for everything)
- Pour water over grounds and stir. Let it sit for three minutes UNCOVERED. This is important; the grounds need to bloom.
- Once the time has passed, scoop out the grounds and plunge down the coffee. I find scooping out the grounds makes for a better, rounded flavor.
And that’s all there is to it. You may not even need cream it’s so dang smooth.
