Symptoms:
– You have a bunch of games on an external hard drive
– Some of the games keep vanishing and reappearing
– Some games work but other games crash upon load
– Some games that used to work vanish from the games list
Solution:
– Make the file naming conventions exactly correct:
e.g. “\GameName [GAMEID]\GAMEID.wbfs”
Notes:
– The expected convention is also in the USB Loader GX settings accessible via the UI. But I believe this solution is the default.
– It seems unlikely but it’s true. If the folders and file names are not exactly right the games show up *sometimes* and crash when you attempt to load them. And games that used to work vanish from the list. You may even see on-screen font corruption too. Audit the file paths and everything will get better.
